Sandy has an extensive farming background, having moved from a large farm on the Saanich Peninsula to the Errington area in 1987. She has raised her family here while also working for several years in an accounting firm. She and her husband Jim (Jim Macrea Construction) designs and builds homes in the Parksville/Qualicum and surrounding areas. They are also affiliated with the Nanaimo Hornets Rugby club.
