I have arrived in B.C. in 2000 as a skilled worker category as Accountant but later on I used my business expertise and proceeds with doing my own business. I owned and still operate very successful Motels on Vancouver Island, Canada
I have completed my B.Com degree, and further pursued my education to complete Masters of Commerce (M.Com) in 1990 from Guru Nanak Dev University, Punjab, India. I was awarded and given MBA by I.C.E.R. Los in United States.
I worked as an Accountant and later on promted as Deputy Manager Accounts with Punjab State Leather Development Corporation, Punjab India. There, I managed the accounting dept. responsible for preparing all necessary data to negotiate contracts and purchases. I had total of 23 staff members. I have started and operated successful chain of convenience stores named Han-D-Stopin the United States and I did have import-export Company called Banga Traders Inc. in States dealing with Handy- Crafts material from Jaipur,India before me re-locating to British Columbia, Canada.
I am deeply involved with all three levels of government, keeping in touch with the developments of our community and our Country.
As President of the Indo-Canadian Business and Professional Association I am responsible for creating and organizing various functions, which in turn great ties between different communities. I did help Port Theater of Nanaimo to organize a few show and functions.
I was also on the board of Conservative Party of Canada (Nanaimo-Cowichain) as a Director. It is with this same integrity, that I pursued my Realtor’s license, graduating with high honors.
