Surveys have indicated that knowing the REALTOR® personally or being referred to one by a trusted friend are the top reasons people gave for choosing the REALTOR® they worked with. As well, the top-rated aspect of the relationship with the REALTOR® they used was “trust and an ethical environment”
The internet is a tool. As with any tool it can be used with masterful results or it can ruin a thumb very fast. It’s a tool all REALTORS® have available but it’s not a given they are all masterful with it. A slightly different tool is used by unrepresented buyers and sellers but the skill in its use still isn’t a given. In the end, in the majority of real-estate trades, those handled by REALTORS®, the tool became irrelevant, was set aside and the inter-personal qualities of trust and ethics became the key feature in making a good trade.
