And now for something totally different... actually 'someone' totally different.
Prior to entering the real estate field, I enjoyed a career in the Coastal Logging Industry, working for 13 years as a heavy-duty mechanic. I 'pulled wrenches' on all types of logging equipment and worked in so many isolated camps from Tofino to the Queen Charlottes that I've forgotten half their names! The logging industry took a financial dive in the early 80's so I packed up my tools and Stanfields and looked for greener pastures. So how does one go from 'Grease monkey' to 'realtor'...? Hmmm.....
My talent for real estate was a natural progression from my community involvement with service clubs and local minor sport groups. I realized that I could combine the 'yacking' part of fund raising with the 'working' part of mechanics and create a new me. Voila! La Realtor. Well, 18 years later I'm still going strong. I've had the good fortune to be awarded the top sales award from the Real Estate Board (Medallion Award) as well as National Sales Awards including Royal LePage Gold and Sutton Platinum awards. Over the past decade and a bit I've sold hundreds of homes and properties in a very professional and caring manner.
My best strengths are my ears and my heart. I listen and I am truly receptive to my clients individual needs. I simply treat everyone the way I would like to be treated in a similar situation.
Whether it's your first home (and the whole process is scaring the you-know-what out of you) or if you are knowledgeable and experienced in real estate, the same professionalism applies. A 'picture says a thousand words' -No matter what the task I can adapt and be successful.
