After living in four provinces from coast to coast, my wife Deb and I know how fortunate we are to be residents of this most beautiful part of our country. We also really appreciate our Mediterranean climate when we reflect on past winters in much colder places. Prior to becoming a licensed realtor in 2003, I worked in residential and commercial construction, oil exploration, personnel recruitment and healthcare administration. From 1989 to 2001, I held various administrative positions at the Nanaimo Regional General Hospital, including President and CEO. After the Hospital amalgamated with the Central Vancouver Island Health Region, I assumed the position of VP Operations for the Nanaimo and Area hospital and public health services. I have attended the University of Western Ontario, Dalhousie University, and the University of Toronto, and have a bachelor's degree in philosophy and masters degree in health sciences administration.
From my education and work experiences, I have learned how to develop positive relationships, communicate effectively, and negotiate desired outcomes. I believe that these are the essential requirements of an effective realtor. In 2005, I received the Sutton Director Award for outstanding service as a realtor.
