Popular Neighbourhoods:

Downtown - Charming lofts and newer apartments are within walking distance of the inner harbour and the Parliament buildings.

Fairfield - With Beacon Hill Park to the west and beaches to the south, this affluent area has modern homes along with those from the late Victorian and Edwardian periods.

Hillside-Quadra - This multi-cultural neighbourhood offer smaller, single-family homes, low-rise condo apartments and higher-end units in converted heritage buildings.

James Bay - Surrounded by water on three sides, this attractive neighbourhood is close to stores and restaurants.  Housing options include single-family homes and condo towers.

Rockland - This elegant neighbourhood is still home to mansions and a castle dating to the 1880's although now some of those mansions have been converted to condos.  Rockland offers a mix of housing types.

Victoria West - This neighbourhood has many parks and affordable housing consisting of older singly-family homes but also newer condos near the waterfront.

Suburbs:

Langford - Northwest of Victoria is this affluent community of nearly 30,000.  Housing consists predominantly of exclusive single-family homes.

Mill Bay and Shawnigan Lake - These small communities offer mainly affordable, single-family homes and lovely water views of forests and water.

Saanich - With close to 110,000 residents, Saanich is the most populous community on Vancouver Island.  Its many neighbourhoods offer everything from reasonably priced condos to prestigious, single-family estates.

Sidney - Conveniently located 30 minutes from downtown Victoria and near the airport and ferry terminal, Sidney has newer single-family homes and waterfront condos.
